Autocarrozzeria Salmi Ermes
The Salmi body shop was opened in 1960 by Mr Ermes Salmi at its historic premises in Via Guarini, located between the beautiful Parco Massari and the Certosa Monumentale of Ferrara.
Within a few years, thanks to the owner’s professionalism and expertise, it became one of the most important and well-known body shops in the city. In addition to repairing traditional cars, this business specialised in repairing camper vans and customising all types of two- and four-wheeled vehicles, also excelling in the art of restoring historic vehicles.
In 1984 Mr Ermes was joined by his sons, first Riccardo and then Roberto, who carried on running the business from 1992 (from which point they continued alone) until 2012, when Stefano, Riccardo’s son, also joined the company.
The sons and grandson have carried forward this historic shop, basing their work on the principles of seriousness and professionalism passed down by Mr Ermes; a true family business in every sense, which has seen three generations succeed one another and continually improve.
The success of this business meant that in 2016 a second branch opened in Via Ferrari, used not only as a body shop but also for mechanical work and tyre changes, becoming an authorised body shop for the FCA group and Citroën, a trusted Mercedes-Benz Staremilia service partner, as well as an Ald Automotive Premium Point.
