Parrucchiera da Fiorella
It was 15 May 1971 when Mrs. Fiorella Altobelli, born in Ortona Mare, in the province of Chieti, opened for the first time the doors of her hairdressing salon in via Carlo Cattaneo, in the Foro Boario district.
The historic premises, which bear the name of their owner, have remained frozen in time: a pocket of refinement and retro style, of hairspray and curlers. The shop has kept its original 1970s furnishings and houses a display case containing artisanal vintage hairdressing tools from the 1950s. In the shop, among memorabilia photos and numerous certificates and awards received as proof of the historic nature of this heritage shop, the original licence for opening the business is also on display.
Mrs. Fiorella, thanks to her long-standing experience and continuous training courses on new trends in hair styling, is always ready to offer her clients the best services, a keeper of the habits and tastes of her long-standing customers:
“I have worked for five different generations of customers. Experience is important, it gives you the keys to make the best choices, but it must be combined with continuous training and professional development. Many things have changed over these years, the neighbourhood has emptied of children and businesses, but shops remain a fundamental presence to keep the city alive.”
