Pizzeria Arcobaleno
Pizzeria Arcobaleno was born in 1965 on Via Borgo dei Leoni, but moved to Via San Romano 82 in August 1971.
This historic shop has always been run by the Buti family. It was the first pizza-by-the-slice shop to open in Ferrara and, still today, remains a point of reference for the city. Located in the heart of the historic center, the pizzeria has managed to preserve its traditions over time, keeping formats, ingredients and aromas unchanged, as well as safeguarding some of the old machinery still used to make the pizza today.
The “Arcobaleno” pizza is unmistakable, made with fresh dough prepared a couple of times a day, with no preservatives or additives, made with sourdough starter and rolled out by hand with a rolling pin. Its aroma drifts out from the venue’s walls and fills the very central street leading to Piazza Trento e Trieste, an irresistible temptation from morning to evening.
Genuineness, flavor, tradition and love for the craft have, over the years, made Pizzeria Arcobaleno a regular stop for countless residents, students and tourists strolling through Ferrara’s historic center.
