Wilson’s Pub
Wilson’s Pub is located on Corso di Porta Mare, near Piazza Ariostea, where the games of what is considered the Palio Estense – the oldest in the world – are held every year.
The venue dates back to 1975, born as a neighborhood bar, but by 1984 it had become a true pub. Over the years, “Il Wilson”, as everyone has always called it, has become part of the daily habits of the people of Ferrara: young people, students, but also those who, after a long working day, saw in this welcoming pub the place to chat, drink and eat something in good company, in a spirit of conviviality.
Wilson’s Pub has always offered a great variety of draft beers, soft drinks, fried food, smash burgers, rustic bread rolls and open sandwiches. It’s a venue with a vintage style, both in its setting, with wooden tables and rustic counter, and in its music, with classic rock playing in the background.
A stronghold of fun and good cheer, also thanks to the presence of numerous board games to enjoy with friends in true 1990s style, this historic shop represents a constant point of reference for local residents. A place to enjoy delicious food, have fun, watch and comment on a match on TV, or spend a carefree evening drinking a beer in total relaxation. In 2025, management of this historic venue passed to young entrepreneur Mauro Ierardi, who continues to successfully carry forward the shop’s rock spirit, blending tradition and menu innovation.
