Casa del Guanto di Destefani Federica
Inside the Galleria Giacomo Matteotti, which opens right onto Piazza Trento e Trieste, Ferrara’s main square, you will find Casa del Guanto.
Founded in the 1950s by Mrs. Teresa Patruno, in 1996 the management of the historic shop passed into the hands of the loyal shop assistant Federica Destefani, who, today just as then, offers the public the same quality of leather and fabrics of artisanal Neapolitan manufacture.
Entering this shop is not just shopping, but a true experiential activity. Immersed in an old-fashioned atmosphere, this shop, which still has the same sign, the same fittings, windows and original Liberty-style furnishings, will let you live a fascinating, timeless experience: the famous glove-fitting protocol, made up of the finger-widening stage, the elbow-resting cushion and the search for the right fit. The knowledge and experience of the owner will guide you to the perfect purchase.
If they say it fits like a glove… there must be a reason…
