Macelleria Marani Nora
The story of this business began in 1970, when Marco Marani founded the “Carni Fresche” butcher’s shop in Via Gaetano Pesci 47/a, in the southern part of Ferrara, near Via Bologna. Later, in 1978, the business was reorganised and reopened as Marani Marco & Massimo S.n.c., continuing the path started by its founder.
In 2002 Massimo Marani took over as sole proprietor, expanding the offering with cured meats, cheeses and other food products, and opened a bread and flower shop in the adjacent premises at number 45/b.
In 2010 management passed to Nora Marani, the founder’s granddaughter and current owner, who has continued the family tradition, moving the business to the premises at numbers 47 and 47/a of Via Gaetano Pesci and bringing the butcher’s department back to its original location.
Thanks to its long history, the trust customers place in the Marani family’s expertise and the proven quality of the products they offer, the shop has always been an important and long-standing landmark for the neighbourhood.
Inside the shop, as proof of its historic character, period equipment from the butcher’s trade can still be found, such as the bone saw, slicers, hamburger presses, knives and the meat tenderiser.
